Dr. Meagan LeGrand is a residency-trained Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist.  Learn more below.

Raised in the Dickinson/League City area, Dr. LeGrand obtained her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Doctorate of Optometry, both with magna cum laude honors, from the University of Houston.

During her training, Dr. LeGrand received highly specialized experience through her doctoral internships, including numerous rotations in ocular disease, specialty/medically necessary contact lens rotations, a neuro-ophthalmology rotation, and a dry eye rotation.

Upon graduation, Dr. LeGrand went on to participate in a year-long residency in ocular disease and refractive & ocular surgery at the Eye Center of Texas.
During her intensive training, she participated in the perioperative care and management of numerous cataract and refractive surgery patients. She also managed a wide range of ocular conditions, including, but not limited to;

• glaucoma,

• macular degeneration,

• diabetic retinopathy,

• corneal ulcers,

• and dry eye syndrome.

Since completing her residency, Dr. LeGrand practiced in the Greater Houston area prior to starting League City Eyecare & Eyewear in the year 2020. She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and Harris County Optometric Society, as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. LeGrand currently resides with her family in League City. They enjoy boating, trying new foods, and spending time with family and friends.
